Diamonds

Inspired by Maya Angelou 'Still I Rise'

I dance like I've got diamonds at the meeting of my thighs

and oh how I dance, oh how I thrive.

Hardened by pressure and by time.

Own your sparkle, scream 'I am mine.'

It's no coincidence that diamonds are a girls best friend

the pressure gets to us all in the end.

Square Cut - fit in, conform

Pear Shape - diet, shrink, fawn.

But sparkly sisters, know who you are

the universe is you, the earth to the stars.

From the laser to love, you split and you bind

Reshaping the very fabric, the atoms of time

So shine, shine, shine, shine.
